1. Acceptance
By downloading or using the DanceFinder app or this website you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service.
2. The service
DanceFinder is a social dance event discovery platform. It shows events on a map and lets you search by place, date and dance style. The service is free for users and may evolve, change or be discontinued.
3. Event information
Events are published by organisers or gathered from public sources. We work to keep information accurate, but we do not organise the events and cannot guarantee times, prices, venues or that an event takes place. Always check with the organiser before you go. We are not party to any ticket purchase from third parties.
4. Accounts
You can use the app without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping access secure and your details accurate. You must be at least 13. You can delete your account at any time (see Delete account).
5. Organisers and published content
By publishing an event you confirm you have the right to do so and that the information and images do not infringe anyone’s rights. You grant DanceFinder a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display, reformat and promote that content within the service and its promotion while it is published. We may review, reformat or remove content that breaches these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
- Don’t post fake, misleading, illegal, sexually explicit or discriminatory events.
- Don’t use the service for spam or non-dance advertising.
- Don’t attempt unauthorised access or bulk-extract data (scraping) from the app or API.
- Don’t impersonate another person or organisation.
7. Intellectual property
The DanceFinder name, logo, app and website belong to DanceFinder. Event content belongs to its respective owners.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from cancelled, changed or inaccurately described events, or for what happens at events. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; the current version is always on this page. We may suspend accounts that breach them.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
